Proof of Residence (POR) requirements for corporate clients

The country of residence of UBOs and Directors must be identified and verified. This is done through the collection of a Proof of Residence

The proof of residence is a document which not only proves someone is able to live in a country but also states the exact location/address where this person can be found (residence). 

The document must come from an official government source (e.g. tax statement) or a reputable service provider (e.g. utility bills, credit card statement or bank statements and it must have been issued in the past 6 months.

Mobile phone bills are not accepted.

Saxo Group allows for the following types of POR documents, given that they meet the requirements in the second column:

Bank statement	Customer name	Issuing bank must be fully regulated.   Where it is unclear what local regulators oversee the specific issuing bank, escalate to the Framework Team to confirm if the bank can be considered as fully regulated. E-wallets/payment issuers statements may not be accepted as valid POR.

Credit card statement	Customer name	Credit card issuer must be fully regulated. Where it is unclear what local regulators oversee the specific issuing institution, escalate to the Framework Team to confirm if the institution can be considered as fully regulated. American Express, pre-paid cards and credit card statements issued by providers that are not fully regulated may not be accepted as valid POR.
