As a regulated financial institution, Saxo continuously assesses its business operations and geographical presence in response to the evolving international and local regulatory landscape. This ongoing evaluation is driven by the increasing complexity of regulations and our commitment to delivering the best client experience and optimal service levels in a rapidly changing global environment.
Saxo onboards direct clients in 42 countries.
We urge our partners and their clients to regularly verify and maintain accurate residency details in Saxo's systems to ensure compliance and avoid unintended terminations. Residency information can be updated via the platform or by submitting a case, depending on the setup.
Our compliance assessments are based on client residency, not nationality. For private clients, we consider the residency of the primary account holder. In joint accounts, both holders must be residents of accepted countries, even if residing in different countries.
For corporate accounts, the country of incorporation or licensing may affect our residency assessment, though it is typically determined by the company's country of effective management.
Subject to license checks and local conditions, intermediaries can onboard clients residing in the countries below: *Australia, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom. |
