The Client Configuration Manager (CCM) is a core administrative capability within Saxo Tools that enables White Label Clients (WLCs) to create, configure, maintain, and govern client setups across their full lifecycle. It serves as the single control point for client structure, access, regulatory settings, cash movements, and auditability.
The following article will outline the key functionalities within the Saxo Tools which can be accesses here.
Please note
The functionalities that are described in the article are role‑based and managed by a Saxo Tools administrator.
Customer Creation & Setup
CCM supports full lifecycle creation of a customer, consisting of:
- Create and manage clients composed of counterpart, account, and user.
Key capabilities:
- Use of predefined customer templates to standardize setup
- Support for:
- Additional accounts (e.g. different currencies)
- Additional users (e.g. joint accounts)
- Template-driven default values that can be reviewed and adjusted where permitted
Customer Updates & Maintenance
- Existing customers can be updated at:
- Counterpart level (e.g. margin profile, Client groups, billing profiles)
- Account level (e.g. commission group, products, activation status)
- User level (e.g. password reset, activation)
Changes are restricted to fields explicitly marked as editable.
Owner Modification
- Clients can be moved between owners or sub-owners within the same WLC hierarchy.
- Requires a specific Owner Modification role.
Customer Deactivation
- Supports deactivation of:
- Users
- Accounts
- Counterparts (only after accounts and users are deactivated)
- Enforces preconditions such as:
- Zero cash balance (for accounts)
- Prevents deactivation of master accounts directly.
Cash Management
-
Single cash transfers
- Deposits and withdrawals between funding and client accounts
- Includes margin check warnings for withdrawals
-
Bulk cash transfers
- Manual entry or CSV upload
- Validation, execution control, and status tracking
Ability to stop or clear transfers during processing.
End‑of‑Day (EOD) File Requests
- Users can request copies of subscribed EOD files:
- For specific dates or date ranges
CCM does not create subscriptions; it only supports requests for existing ones.
Security & Access Management
- Role‑based access aligned to operational responsibilities
- User management including activation, deactivation, and password reset
- Optional TOTP (2‑factor authentication) for enhanced security
.Encrypted Client Information
- Supports entry of encrypted personal and entity data at counterpart level.
- Includes:
- Personal information (PII)
- Entity type (Individual or Organization – selectable once only)
- MiFID-related information (where enabled)
Encrypted client information depends on WLC configuration.
Maker / Checker (Four‑Eyes Principle)
- Optional Maker / Checker control for critical actions such as:
- Client creation
- Configuration changes
- Cash withdrawals module
- Supports:
- Change queues
- Approval or rejection workflows
Separation of duties between requestors and approvers
Audit & Traceability
